International Relations & CSR

In each of these countries, O'Neill sells their products. There was not much information about how they interact with each other in regards to CSR, although each of the countries websites did mention their Ocean Mission, O'Neill Blue. The company completed one CSR report for all of the countries which was based out of O'Neill Europe. It was interesting that on some countries websites like Chile, it was harder to find sustainability information whereas Canada was very easy to access. Canada seems to be ahead in their sustainable efforts, even having information on how to sign up for local beach clean ups! 

 

Even though O'Neill has a universal CSR plan, different countries relayed their information about sustainability in different ways. In knowing that South America is less developed Canada, it makes sense that they would not have as much information on sustainability and CSR. Other issues may hold more important, therefore pushing sustainability to the back burner. Because there is only one CSR report, it is unclear if O'Neill focuses more heavily on different elements of their CSR report. I would assume that they would be similar, although accessibility could make them shift in some way. In all, regional differences such as money and access to materials definitely are able to factor into the way that countries act on CSR activities.
